SCANDALE PERENCO : LA LOI FRANÇAISE PROTÈGE UNE MULTINATIONALE IMPLANTÉE AUX BAHAMAS
11 août 2021 – La multinationale pétrolière française Perenco possède des filiales aux Bahamas, ce qui lui permet de se soustraire à l’imposition. Cependant, sa nationalité française lui permet de recevoir la protection de la législation française lors des arbitrages internationaux.
Dernier événement en date : l’Équateur a été condamné à payer 400 millions de dollars à une filiale de Perenco, basée aux Bahamas, pour violation d’un traité d’investissements signé entre la France et l’Équateur. Un verdict qui tombe dans un contexte où le gouvernement français prétend multiplier les initiatives pour combattre l’évasion fiscale…
